Last week's reported sexual assault of a teenage girl by a stranger outside Fox River Mall has caused parents to rethink the safety of their children. Lori Carrell of Oshkosh, who was shopping Saturday at the mall with her 15-year-old daughter, Cheyenne, said the assault was alarming because the victim had been with a friend before the suspect, posing as a police officer, separated them.
